MICHELLE ADAMS GYPSY BEDROOM

Wednesday, October 24, 2012

Several years ago I came across some photos of French Gypsy Roulettes.  I can't tell you how in love I am with this colorful eclectic style!  The colors, the mix of patterns and textures, the idea of darker rooms, wood paneled walls, lots of candles.  Surrounding ourselves with random beautiful things and colors that made us feel good was amazing!!  After 3 1/2 years of dreaming, and one very detailed and imaginative "dream bedroom" pinterest board, my husband and I finally decided to make the time to create our very own dream bedroom space.  We live in a small home with our two growing children... Logan 15, and Brooke 11, and our sweet dog Ginger.  Family, friends, working from home, and hobbies often make us feel like our house is bursting at the seams.  So, in all this we've re-created our bedroom into this special place, just for us... our sanctuary of sorts, that we just LOVE.

  4. Beautiful home, but all I can think about is what a train wreck of a book "The Reason for God" is. I hope no one takes the logical fallacy after logical fallacy seriously.

  5. Yes, I'm afraid I have to echo Bhrett's comment, and add my concerns about the Warren book, as well. Rick Warren is a widely known misogynist and homophobe, who's asserted that women should remain in abusive relationships, compared a woman's right to make her own reproductive choices to the Holocaust, and has said that all non-Christians are damned. It's pretty jarring to see his influence in this space.

  7. That stone elephant... does she have a small elephant inside her belly? If so, I have the same sweet elephant! Beautiful piece, isn't it? What a fantastic room. So... comforting and inspiring.
